About the Author
Pamela Shockley-Zalabak, Ph.D. is Chancellor and Professor of Communication at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. The author or co-author of 8 books and over 100 articles, Shockley-Zalabak teaches courses in organizational communication and has research interests in building high trust organizations through communication. She has consulted with Fortune 500 companies in strategic communication planning and the development of team-based organizations. Shockley-Zalabak has consulted and engaged in research in Italy, Spain, Canada, China, India, Poland, and Russia in addition to over 30 major locations in the U.S.A. She is a winner of numerous University of Colorado awards and Colorado awards for community engagement. Her community work focuses on access to education for low-income, first generation, and students of color. She is one of the founders of the Aspen Conference on Engaged Scholarship and has been named a White House Champion of Change.

This is awful.

This textbook is an absolute chore to get through. The writing is atrocious and needs an editor. Just because you write long, boring, convoluted sentences doesn't mean you're saying something important. Typical "academic" writing that could have been written in half the words.

Very good book, and required for class

Very good book, and required for class.
The paperback quality is hard to read especially in the text boxes.
It is like fine print on newspaper and the text boxes are greyed out with black letters.
I would hope the readability is much better on the E-Book

ok quality book- food spots and worn out pages

This book came with water damage and food spots on many pages. The pages are worn and you can for sure tell that it has been used quite a bit. It will do for the semester but wish I knew the condition of the book before ordering.
